About

I am a retired schoolteacher and have been a celebrant since 2002. It was at this time the law allowing Civil Marriages was first introduced. In 2012 I was sworn in by the Royal Court of Jersey enabling me to conduct Civil Partnerships. I am now delighted, under the law of 2018, to be able to conduct Civil Marriages and Conversions from Partnerships to Marriage. My aim is to help couples who are getting married or converting to marriage, to experience a stress-free ceremony and to enjoy the day with their family and friends.

Ceremonies

Every ceremony is different. The content varies according to the taste of the couple involved. I can help design the ceremony of their choice which may include readings, poems, songs and music. I can also advise on the legal declarations which must be included.
A ceremony, whilst solemnising the joining together of two people in love, should also be fun and one of the happiest days of the couple's life. All venues must be Approved Locations and this is carried out by the Superintendent Registrar in conjunction with the Connetable of the Parish in which the ceremony is to be held.
All the information required is on the website www.gov.je 'Getting married in Jersey'.

Outdoor Weddings

I have been privileged to conduct ceremonies throughout Jersey in hotels, Heritage sites, forts, castles and private homes. I am pleased now to be able to add ceremonies that can be held outside: in gardens, woods, on headlands and beaches, wherever the couple may choose.

Same Sex Marriages

Within Jersey Law same sex marriages are equally celebrated. I have been honoured to join couples together in Civil Partnerships and am now delighted to help design and conduct Civil Marriages and Conversions to Marriage. Each ceremony is tailored to suit the requirements of the couple concerned. I can advise and help design the perfect ceremony to make it a happy and memorable occasion.
